St Madeleine’s Primary recently competed in a Touch Football Gala Day.
The teams, made up of our fantastic students, played a number of games and developed their sporting skills over the course of a fun day.
All children demonstrated great enthusiasm, resilience, and sportsmanship on the day, Students also demonstrated their great skills and techniques learned throughout their sports classes and training lessons throughout Term 2.
Our students were cheered on by our amazing parent cheer squads throughout the day being very cheerful for each of the student's games regardless of the game's results.
Congratulations to our teams who demonstrated great and team spirit towards every competere as well as demonstrating how strong they were as a team always encouraging and looking out for one another. own team.

Today we said goodbye to our beautiful Mrs Lorena McManus. Lorena has served as our school counsellor for the past nine years and has been a highly valued member of our community. Throughout this time, she has provided exceptional support and care and we know she will be a tremendous asset to her new school. We sincerely thank Lorena for her dedication and professionalism in her work with the St Madeleine’s community. Her compassion and commitment have had a lasting impact on the wellbeing of many students, families and staff. We wish her all the very best in this next chapter 🤍✨

Throughout this Holy Week - from Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, to the humble service of the Last Supper, to His prayer in the Agony in the Garden, and His sacrifice on the Cross - we are invited to reflect on how Christ calls us to live with humility, faith and love for others. May this sacred time help us draw closer to Jesus and inspire us to be people of hope, peace and compassion in our world ✝️ Thank you to stage 3, who showcased ‘Good Friday’ to our school community. The story of Jesus’s death is a sad story but, we know, it is not the end of the story. As the Christian scriptures say, three days after Jesus died, he rose again! And life began anew, for him, for us and all of creation ✝️✨

Year 2 have had a very exciting end to the term. They enjoyed a terrific Science incursion deepening their understanding about properties of materials. They also celebrated achieving their class Korra reward by bringing their favourite soft toys to school, along with wearing their amazing Easter hat creations.

What a fantastic morning 6B had celebrating their Korra Reward! 🎉 The class chose to enjoy an Olympic Sports Session, and it did not disappoint. Each student brought plenty of energy, teamwork and laughter to our morning! It was so lovely to see students encouraging one another, getting involved and just having fun together after all their hard work this term. A very well deserved reward, 6B - you should be proud! 👏

Today, our St Madeleine’s community came together in a beautiful celebration of Palm Sunday, reflecting on the joy and significance of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Our choir students filled the space with reverence and enthusiasm as they sang joyfully, creating a truly special atmosphere for all. A heartfelt thank you to Ms Dewberry and Mrs Coope for leading so wonderfully, and to the staff members who supported them in bringing this celebration to life. As we begin Holy Week, may we continue to walk together in faith, hope and love.
