CSPD school libraries are physical and digital places of inquiry and reading.
They provide access to a range of resources that help kids on their Learning journey and help inspire purposeful learning.
Through access to our library resources and services, students develop a range of learner dispositions and capabilities to cultivate a culture of curiosity, creativity, imagination and innovation.
Our Blake Library
Our Blake Library is an excellent centre for investigation and research. Blake was chosen as the name of the library to commemorate the first Catholic family in the Kenthurst area.
It was in their home that the first Mass in the district was celebrated. They were also the original owners of the land on which the school and parish buildings now stand.
With an extensive collection of quality children’s literature available to read and borrow, it is a popular venue with the students. The Premier’s Reading Challenge is an annual challenge that is publicised through the Blake Library to encourage a love of reading in all children.
Once a week every class has the opportunity to borrow books during the Library session. After they return their previously borrowed books they may borrow some new books to take home. The children must have a library bag (to safely transport the books to and from school).
Our eLibrary
eLibrary is the digital gateway to the range of quality online resources that encourage and enhance reading and support inquiry learning.
