Year 1 has been very busy in Term 2 with lots of exciting, hands-on, and collaborative learning! In Science, we have been exploring the living world, learning about habitats and what living things need to survive. Year 1 loved creating and observing our very own worm farm, and we were so lucky to welcome a very special local beekeeper… our very own Mrs Devane! 🐝 She taught us all about how bees thrive, and the students even enjoyed tasting some delicious honey. 🍯 In Creative Arts, we have been conducting a colour study inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and his concentric circles. Year 1 focused on our warm and cool colours and created beautiful artworks with this understanding. 🎨 In Mathematics, we became data experts by surveying each other’s favourite animals, using tally marks to collect information and creating picture graphs to display our results. 📊 We’re excited to see where this learning takes us throughout the rest of the term! 🌟
