Year 3 had wonderful excursion day out at Lane Cove National Park. They spent their time exploring the natural environment, learning about the flora and fauna, drawing a field sketch and exploring Aboriginal history.

Last Friday, our Year 6 students ran their Mission Markets to raise money for the Jesuit Refugee Service. Congratulations to our amazing Year 6 students for their hard work in planning, preparing and running their markets on the day. We are so proud of the effort you put in! We also acknowledge our Year 6 parent community who donated various items and materials to make the day a great success. Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Students enrolling in Year 7 from 2026 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in learning within a supportive Catholic community.

🌍🧦 Socktober at St Madeleine’s! 🧦🌍 Yesterday our Year 4 and Stage 1 students came together for Socktober 2025. A big thank you to our Year 4 students who led the learning for Stage 1, teaching them about the lives of children and families in Zambia and how Catholic Mission’s Socktober helps support education, healthcare, and community development there. Year 4 spent many weeks preparing for this special day through their Faith in Action learning, and it was wonderful to see their compassion and leadership shine. On Monday, our Year 4 students joined the launch of Socktober 🌍⚽️ – a Mission Month initiative using soccer to inspire action against poverty. The sockball, made from recycled materials, is a symbol of joy, resilience, and hope for children in developing countries. Early next term, Year 4 will be supporting Stage 1 in their own Socktober learning, helping to lead with empathy, solidarity, and faith in action. 💙🙏 Keep an eye out for more information soon!
