But 700 kilometres away in Sydney's north west, an army of helpers is working to ensure they have everything they need.

In Weeks 3 and 4 our Stage 2 and 3 students participated in separate Touch Football Gala Days. The children represented their families and the school with pride and showed excellent sportsmanship. A special thank you to Mr Thompson for his organisation of the teams. To Miss Takchi, Mrs Leeds and Mrs Corrigan for supporting the students on these days. On Tuesday, St Madeleine's gathered to have our own special service to remember the loss of Australian lives from all wars and conflicts and to acknowledge the brave men and women of our armed forces keeping us safe. Thank you to our Year 6 students for leading the school to respectfully.

Last Friday, our Year 6 students ran their Mission Markets to raise money for the Jesuit Refugee Service. Congratulations to our amazing Year 6 students for their hard work in planning, preparing and running their markets on the day. We are so proud of the effort you put in! We also acknowledge our Year 6 parent community who donated various items and materials to make the day a great success.
